■ 美国华盛顿州Seattle Schools同学来访
The Cultural Communication Activity
Ever since we were told we’d been chose to take part in the cultural communication activity with the students from Seattle, US, on March the 28th, it’d been dwelling on us.
On that day, we packed and rushed to the school to wait. After what seemed to be a long time, we, who could scarcely suppress the excitement, were told to get on the buses to meet our foreign friends. Gradually, the quiet buses were filled in by students sending regards. Some of the American students were nervous, some were quite expansive, and the Chinese students were the same..
Then we headed for our first destination—YuexiuPark. We climbed to the top of the hill, where we visited the Statue of the Five Goats, the symbol of Guangzhou. And we took group photos to commemorate our Sino-American friendship. After a good time we had there, we went back to the bus bound for Guangzhou Museum, where the American students learned lots of Guangzhou. After half an hour or so, we left and headed for the last destination—the Shangxiajiu Road.
Getting off, we scattered to lead our partners to wander the road. We led them to buy some Chinese tea, which they were interested in, and some Chinese national objects like Chinese knots. After that, we ended up having supper in Lianxiang Building. Then we Chinese students accompanied them to the White Swan Hotel, where they were staying. And, despite our reluctance, we reached the parting of the ways. Saying our farewells, we parted, leaving with what would be wonderful, and unforgettable memories.
